After graduating from Art School of the Crafts Museum in Reichenberg, 1890, enrollment at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna with teachers Matsch and Czeschka. Publication of the parody “Quer Sancrum”, 1900 in the professional class of Koloman Moser. Shortly teaching at the Art School for Embroidery. Acquisition of the special class for painting and printing, until 1935 Loeffler was a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Vienna. In 1906 foundation of the Viennese Ceramics with Powolny and sculptorer Lang, the products were distributed since 1908 by the Wiener Werkstätte. During this time working with the Artistic Atelier Schleiß, Gmunden. Co-founder of the Kunstschau, first show in 1908, Member of the Austrian Werkbund and the Künstlerhaus. Participation in major exhibitions of his time.
